I don’t often design my own patterns, but occasionally I have a need. Sometimes, I can’t find a pattern that’s close to a project idea I have in mind. On other occasions, I’m inspired to cook up a new design to show off one of our farm yarns.
Over the past couple of years I’ve developed these patterns and I’d love to know: Would you knit any of these? Please leave a comment with your favorite, or any suggestions.

Peerless Poncho
This was an idea born of frustration, when I couldn’t find a poncho design that I loved. They either had complicated stitch patterns, odd proportions, or an excess of fringe.
Knit in Harrisville Designs Highland, this worsted-weight popover is great for dressing up a basic outfit or for an extra layer as you’re running errands. The diagonal lines and rich color of the yarns make it flattering on a range of body types.
Crimped Hat
Although originally developed to showcase a yarn that we since sold out of, this modern take on a classic toque would be great for the slopes or a casual evening out. The simple knit/purl texture is fully charted and the decreases are hidden to create a uniform texture through the crown.
Spoon Hat
Still in progress, my latest idea was inspired by a friend of ours who loves to carve wooden spoons by hand. I think it will be a fun design to make for anyone who loves to cook (or eat!). The sample I’m working on is knit in delicious, naturally-dyed Tidal Yarns worsted.
