Don’t Wait Up: a versatile shawl, scarf, and poncho in one

After months of experimenting with colors and textures, Don’t Wait Up is finally ready for you to knit for yourself. This versatile and large-yet-lightweight piece of fabric can be styled in many different ways. Wear it as a wrap, poncho, scarf, or hooded cape.

Based on my experiments with both hand-spinning random colors and playing with sequence knitting, I came up with a final design that is both visually rich and easy to knit. It’s the perfect project for relaxing with your favorite show or audiobook, and works equally well at a craft night where you want to be able to hold up your end of the conversation without messing up your project.

Don’t Wait Up features a long-color-shifting yarn called Ragg-Time from Green Mountain Spinnery. The rich palette will give you many options for customizing the look of your finished garment.
