Continuing with my interest (obsession?) with sequence knitting, as well as a deep appreciation for the work of Karida Collins, owner of Neighborhood Fiber Company, I developed this large scarf with another one of the NFC gradient packs. The fun pompons are decorative as well as functional, providing weight to the ends of the piece that keep it in place.
The generous proportions of this scarf make it snuggly for wrapping over or under your winter coat, or drape it around your head for extra warmth and protection from the elements.
Fiery Foliage features an intense palette of bright yellow, burnt orange, and deep burgundy, reminiscent of the rich colors of autumn leaves in Vermont. The sample was knit with Neighborhood Fiber Company’s Studio DK Gradient in Shades of Vermillion, but you could use any of their gradients for a palette that will coordinate with your wardrobe.
