It has been an amazing 3 weeks of challenges and perseverance as I spun my way through my first Tour de Fleece. As I mentioned in the previous video, this challenge takes place each year during the Tour de France and is a fantastic way to expand your skills in hand spinning, concentrate on learning a new technique, or just get though a load of fiber that might be sitting in your stash.

For my personal challenge I wanted to finish spinning the one and half pounds of Shetland roving that I had. And, I managed to do it! It’s all washed and plied and waiting to become a sweater, sometime over the winter.

Special thanks to Team Akerworks and all the other participants who made my first TdF a fun and engaging challenge. I’ll be back next year for sure!
